Here's the new addition to our backyard. We brought it home with us from our dock at the marina. It had floated into the marina last Fall during the flood, and we fished it out and set it on the dock. It was still there last Tuesday, and it had dried out well, so we hauled it up to the car (put the trunk in the trunk!).
I think it looks great by the birdfeeder. In fact, it looks like it actually grew there. This is part of my plan for a new garden that will "connect" the two bird feeding stations and provide a haven for the butterflies.
It's always good to have a plan.
