And here is the finished spread. I feel so happy and free, back to creating my art. ❤️❤️
Ok, these are the $1.99 paints by craftsmart. Silver gray, deep peach, and ground cinnamon. These are fun, especially for the price. They blend easily with each other and with gesso. I may have to go back and get more of these!
This dark blue is the Artc texture cream. On left, applied with brush. On right, with pallet knife. I really like the pallet knife with it. It has a sandpaper feel. Used a heatgun to dry it,and that worked fine. Otherwise it would take a while to dry since it’s so thick. They have a FB page: artc mixed media
Here I have used a distress crayon on both base colors. They blended in really well.
I used the Art tubes (from Hungary) for the stencils, which is a good use for them since they are only one ounce. The one on the left is Ultra Chalk; on right is metallic. I really like both– thick and easy to apply on a stencil with sponge.
These are process photos, trying out different materials. The green is DecoArt chalky finish in “refreshing” shade. The darker shade is “cocoon” in ArtMinds. The ArtMinds is heavier, thicker, and more easily applied. I needed to use a brush to apply the green. Both needed stirring.
