Boat/Beach Decor

 I am making some boat decor and artwork to sell at our Marina.  Here's a little treasure chest that would look cute as a table centerpiece.

 And here's the side view of it.  I tried to find "plants" that one would see near a beach.  Luckily, most of them were on sale!

And here's another one:  a basket that has a larger display.  When I finished, I thought the front of the basket needed a little something extra, so I added the bias tape with holes (I love this stuff!) and attached some little trinkets.  These were a lot of fun to make; I hope they sell!

The Flowers of My Dreams

Here is a large canvas I recently completed.  It was a work of intention; most frequently I paint without an end in mind.  "In my head," I saw these big red flowers on an ochre background, but when I went to paint them, the flowers wanted to be different than what I "saw."  And I do like these.  Not realistic (I've never seen any flowers like these!), and yet they COULD exist.  And in fact they do now exist on this canvas.

I chose red because I wanted this to be in our newly remodeled bathroom, and all the accessories are dark red.  It fits quite well, and they brighten my spirit every time I look at them.  Now back to simply PLAYING with paints, with no intention:  my favorite.
